Refu(SAL/SE/GE) is a webcomic published under the second issue of the journal REFUSE: A Journal of Iconoclasms, and tells the story of a bildungsroman marked by refusal, refuse and the seeking of refuge. REFUSE is a journal that embraces the multidimensional and ambiguous meaning of the term "refuse", and through refusal of the dominant, default and disciplinary, reclaims and celebrates cultural productions and forms of knowing that have been trashed and neglected. who also happens to be an extremely unsociable prosocial, highly tech-critical techie, ever-curious artist, and incorrigible dilettante. In her now refused past life, she was a senior software developer and tech lead at a multinational software consultancy. Nowadays, amongst other things (spoken in true dilettante fashion), she is learning how to grow her own food regeneratively and make ecologically sound compost.
